Government officials and trade teams in Canada and Mexico desire US governors and mayors can thwart President Trump’s vow to unravel the unfastened-industry pact.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau instructed the National Governors Association assembly in Rhode Island on Friday that “NAFTA isn’t best” — but need to be “up to date and modernized” — no longer tossed.
